3C 454.3
Note: We only analyze those observations of 3C 454.3 obtained using a pointing position 0.52 degrees to the southeast of 3C 454.3; this position was used to completely eliminate contributions to the spectrum from the cataclysmic variable IM Peg, located about 0.72 degrees to the northwest of 3C 454.3 (see S. Jorstad, A. Marscher, V. Larionov, et al., 2010, ApJ, 715, 362). At this offset position, the PCA and HEXTE collimator efficiencies are both 45% (e.g., Jahoda et al. 2006); we corrected for this effect when generating the response matrices and during spectral fitting.
